Ledge, Laughter, and Limoncello

We wish you and your family a Happy New Year from the entire team at del Rios Winery and Restaurant! We're thrilled to share two lockdown passion projects that have become a reality in time for summer! The Ledge - a new outdoor bar by del Rios and Ciclo - a range of small-batch artisan goods.

New bucket list addition

The Ledge is the perfect place to lounge, eat and drink with friends and family that overlooks our Estate, our Black Angus Cows, Llamas and the city of Geelong in the backdrop. It can be a complimentary stopover before or after your dining experience or a visit as a standalone.

Enjoy a new exclusive menu of wine-inspired cocktails, del Rios wines, tapas, and nibbles. The outdoor bar was a project spanning several months with Gus del Rio at the helm, from countless hours personally orchestrating earthworks on the excavator to tiling and hands-on plumbing.

Tradition, passion and sustainability

Ciclo. Created by Joshua del Rio and his wife Rebecca del Rio who are 3rd generation of del Rio’s in Australia. Ciclo is Spanish for ‘cycle’ and is the merging of generations and inheritance of tradition, culture, and passion for wine and food in the del Rio family.

Ciclo is born from the desire to fully utilise latent produce at the del Rios Estate and Winery. An endeavour for sustainability with a focus on quality over quantity. Ciclo products are passionately handcrafted in small batches to celebrate produce and heritage in mind.

When life gives you lemons...

Ciclo Limoncello is a lemon liqueur some of you may already be familiar with. What started as a hobby at home, a traditional family recipe to complement the dining experience and pose as an inspiration for a cocktail, is now fully finessed and bottled.

Ciclo Limoncello is a homage to Rebecca’s Calabrian family roots and a celebration of the quality of organic and locally sourced Meyer and Eureka lemons at Anakie. The lemons are handpicked and carefully hand peeled to include only the rind and none of the pith to extract the most desirable flavours, a labour-intensive process we believe worth doing for the end result.

Something Sticky, Something Red

2017 Trio Tempranillo

The 2017 Trio Tempranillo fruit was grown by our friends up in the King Valley and has created a fruitful expression of plums with hints of green tobacco leaf, perfect for lamb.

Trio Sticky Wine

The Sticky Wine is perfect for those with a sweet tooth, a delightful sweet dessert wine made with mostly Chardonnay that is rich and syrupy with a honey characteristic and a sultana finish.

We want to welcome Juan Vanoli to our team as the new Front of House Manager; he brings a wealth of experience with a background both in the kitchen and across venue management. We're looking forward to seeing the positive impact on our patron's dining experience at the del Rios Winery and Restaurant.

We're gearing up to release the 18' Vintage come March, which includes all the usual's plus an exceptional AD Release in honour of Esther del Rio. A selection of the 18' Vintage will be included in your April Wine Club Pack for those in our Wine Club.
